Colorectal Cancer Awareness Walk
- Colorectal cancer is the number two cancer killer among men and the number three cancer killer in women in the United States.
- More than 2,170 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year in South Carolina.
- Colorectal cancer is preventable and is one of the most treatable forms of cancer when it is detected early.
- Screening for colorectal cancer saves lives by removing precancerous growths before they become cancerous.
- If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor about being screened for colorectal cancer.
The Colorectal Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, March 13, 2010 serves the purpose of raising awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of early detection through screening.
